CCAS staff and volunteers have a passion for helping these animals! The staff are wonderful and incredibly supportive of their fosters and make volunteering so easy and enjoyable! I would highly recommend anyone who has been considering it to go down and talk to Andrea, the foster coordinator. There is such a need for CCAS in this community, this money would be such a blessing!

I have been to the Canyon County Animal Shelter and number of times for various reasons. The staff is very helpful and a joy to work with. They work hard to restore the souls of these shelter animals. With love, good care and keeping them socialized to help them feel wanted. The dedication to the animals well being to find good homes is evident. They are very deserving, their hard work has produced positive results with so little to work with. They are worthy.

This shelter is really making a difference in the community -- truly looking for homes for all these wonderful critters, not just warehousing them.

CCAS is a model of a shelter using social media, networking, and hard work to improve the lives of animals in our community. The staff is absolutely amazing, and the team of volunteers is committed and active. Let's get a year's worth of good kibble!

This is the shelter where before privatized my boyfriend and adopted a 8 year old cocker spaniel...went back 4 years later to adopt a cat and the shelter and volunteers were even more surprisingly wonderful since becoming non profit. Adopted a sweet 8 year old cat and have had her 6 months and see no end in sight. Wonderful staff and wonderful cause. All around wonderful shelter.

CCAS is committed to saving all the animals that come under their very special care. I took a young dog in that I found and I knew that it would either have the owners claim him or he would find a new "forever home". I left with good feelings for that lost puppy.

CCAS does a great job of treating people and animals respectfully and with great care. From the welcome at the door, through the screening process, to the follow up calls to ensure all is well for the new adoptee and family, CCAS does it right. It is so great to hear the music come on every time an adoption is made. Gives me hope for the rest of the dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes.

When all is said and done it is all about the animals. That shows in the care the staff and volunteers give these animals. I am honored to donate, money, goods and volunteer. They deserve this grant and I certainly home that they get it. Keep up the good work. Dianna

Last Veteran's Day they offered Veteran's their choice of a pet, all fees waived. That told me they care about placing animals more than bringing in money. The 86 rate has gone WAY down in the past year.

Since they became privatized in the last year (previously run by the sheriff's dept), there has been nothing but praise for Canyon County Animal Shelter. As a volunteer, I have seen the loving care given all the animals as the staff and volunteers love and care for the animals as their own. Having transported animals to shelters and missions both instate and out of state, I hear nothing but praise and adulations for the new staff at the shelter and also for the shelter itself. They do a phenomenal job----and could use this grant to better provide care for the wonderful animals until they find their forever homes.

Canyon County Animal Shelter is the best thing to come along in a long time! They work hard to find every single dog it cat its forever home! Since its privatization, the kill rate has decreased from over 50% to just under 5%!!! Such an accomplishment and it happened in only about 3 months time! We are so proud to be associated with them!

This shelter is a godsend to all the needy cats and dogs of the Treasure Valley! They wholeheartedly embrace every single creature that comes through their doors. It is incredible how many hearts and homes have opened up to so many wonderful animals because of the compassion, creativity, and just plain hard work of these people.. Hooray for CCAS!!!!!

Canyon County Animal Shelter is by far the cleanest animal shelter I've ever visited. The employees care for the animals as if they were their own.

This shelter recently became a non-profit and with new ideas and promotions has done a wonderful job of finding homes for the animals. Almost every week at the Nampa Dog Park, I find someone who has adopted an animal from during the past 1 or 2 weeks! Amazing! They have enlisted the help of the community and volunteers to make a huge turn around in the success of the shelter. They definitely deserve this grant and will put it to excellent use!
