What makes this shelter great?

It's the largest animal welfare league, and possibly the neediest. I recently lost my dog and went here to see if anyone possibly found her and dropped her off. I was in tears when I left. There are so many animals without a home it was incredibly sad. If I could save them all, I would. For now, though, I am saving one. I found my beloved pet, that I adopted from this shelter 12 years ago. I donate what I can to them, newspapers, supplies, etc., but it never seems like enough. Please help.
